Jordanian documents
Documents issued in Jordan must be authenticated by the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Before the document can be legalized by the Embassy of Belgium in Jordan, it first needs to be authenticated by the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then translated by a sworn translator.
For more information, please contact the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- The authentication by the Jordanian Ministry must not be older than 6 months. It must be provided in a readable format and contain all necessary information (date, signature, name, and seal of the person who has signed the document).
- The signature of the authentication from the Jordanian Ministry must be known to the Belgian Embassy. If the signature has not yet been notified to the Belgian Embassy or if the date is missing, the document cannot be legalized, and applicants will need to return to the Ministry to repeat the process.
